Privacy Policy

Pagewood — focus timer. Effective 29 September 2026.

The short version

Pagewood works fully offline. Without an account, everything you do stays on your phone and we never receive it. There are no ads, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and we never sell data.

Data stored on your device

Your focus sessions (start time, length, tree, status), tags, intentions, task checklists, notes, rituals, seed ledger, unlocked trees and lands, achievements and settings are saved in a local database on your phone. Backups and CSV exports you create are saved to the app's storage on your device.

Optional account and sync

If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider). The data listed above is then copied to your account so it can sync between your devices. It is only accessible to you: every table is protected so a user can read and write only their own rows.

Our database and authentication are hosted by Supabase, Inc., which processes the data on our behalf. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

App blocking (Android, optional)

If you turn on app blocking for Strict mode, Android asks you to grant Usage access and Display over other apps. During a Strict session Pagewood uses them to see which app is in front and to cover apps you haven't allowed with a "resting" page. This happens only on your phone, only while that session runs, and is never stored or sent anywhere. The list of apps you allow is saved on your phone only and is not synced to your account. You can revoke both permissions any time in Android settings.

Notifications

With your permission, the app shows a notification while a focus session runs. It is created on your device; nothing is sent to us.

What we don't do

• No advertising and no advertising IDs.
• No analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs.
• No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties.
• No access to your contacts, location or photos, and no record of which apps you use.

Keeping and deleting your data

Synced data is kept until you delete your account. You can delete it at any time in the app (Settings → Account & sync → Delete account); this permanently removes your account and all synced data from our servers straight away. Data on your phone is removed when you uninstall the app. See how to delete your account.

Children

Pagewood is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
